Guatemala Itinerant Photographer Oil on Canvas Portrait, "Wooden Horse"
$1,454.99Seated beside a dock on the shore of Lake Atitlan, an itinerant photographer awaits new customers. A spotted wooden horse is his prop for the souvenir snapshots popular with tourists. Yet business is slow and the man seems dejected, his face hidden beneath his cowboy hat. "Caressed by the north wind called accompanied by his wooden horse, a photographer silently sees his dreams slip away with every client that does not show up," says Guatemalan artist Mario Sergio Aviles.
