Details

The night bazaar in Thailand's cultural capital of Chiang Mai bustles with creative energy. Artisans and food sellers cover several city blocks, and many artisans keep studios nearby. One such studio is run by three young sisters, whose resemblance is so striking they're often mistaken for triplets. There they hand-string cultured pearls and gold-tone brass beads to create this romantic triple-strand necklace.

"My Sentimental Purchase"

I was very happy to receive my Three Sisters 3 strand pearl and brass necklace. I'm the youngest of 3 sisters, and we're very close. The necklace can be worn with everything, and is light, but sturdy. Pearls are always in good taste, and the secure lobster clasp was not difficult for me to handle. The beautiful keepsake case is lovely. I'm very pleased that this purchase supports women artisans and that National Geographic is associated with this project.

"Perfect for casual or dressy"

I love the necklace. It is perfect with jeans or you could wear it when you dress up. It is easy to put on. I think it is dainty but makes a big statement.

"an everyday necklace"

I just love this necklace! Works for dressing up or dressing down. Nicely combines two styles I love - gold and pearl. Perfect length and easy to wear with a simple t-shirt or a fancier button down.

  • Very versatile!
