"Wonderful Gift From My Brother"

My brother sent me this "Skeen Dubh" as a gift. I belong to an Irish Bagpipe band and needed a Skeen Dubh as the final touch to my uniform. Not only was I personally touched by my little brothers thoughtful efforts, the Skeen Dubh" is perfect. I will charish it for ever. Thanks Bro!

"one sided handle?"

the people who write negative reviews about the handle fail to realize the obvious. this knife (tucked into the sock against the leg)has the handle with a wooden side (opposite the stag horn side).this smooth wooden side will not irritate the skin. furthermore, it's a ceremonial costume accessory for the most part. yours truly, bob MacMason,Clan Gunn.

"This is a piece of trash"

How disappointing: this is simply an expensive reproduction that lacks quality, functionality. NG should be embarrassed to sell such a product. No one could consider this to be a functional knife, and as a decorative piece it is cheaply made. At the price point, you should expect quality merchandise: this is worthless1

"Smaller than advertised."

"Decorative" is accurate. The knife is slightly less than 6 1/2 inches in length versus the advertised 7 1/2 inches. It is difficult to grip if you are older than 8yrs old...I was disappointed with this as it seems less than authentic for a "historic" item.

"Misleading picture"

Use as letter opener with some difficulty being flat on one side makes it difficult to use left handed

"very disapointing"

Blade is very thick. Handle has only one side horn, the other is wood.
