Sunbursts alternate with stepped frets, their geometric perfection created in handwoven wool. Irene Ruiz weaves this design on the handloom with traditional Zapotec techniques, employing natural dyes derived from native plants. The beautiful runner is named "Atardecer en la sierra" in Spanish.
Because each rug is individually woven by hand, measurements could vary +/- 3 cm (1 inch).
