"I am so happy now! I love the challenge of finding affordable materials and I enjoy creating new designs, my favorites are free-form gemstones."
"I was born in Singaraja and my parents worked so hard and were so responsible that they continue to inspire me. They taught me to work hard and take responsibility for every decision I make – a lesson I have taken to heart. I would say that I am a hard-working responsible person, and I am a very confident too.
"However, one of the toughest challenges I've encountered has been when my first business venture failed. I organized traditional Balinese weddings, which included the bridal gown, accessories and make up, as well as everything that has to do with the ceremony. I was very sad that it failed, yet I knew I had to keep on fighting – I knew there was another way to succeed.
"I learned a lot from this experience. My parents reminded me that life is not always smooth and happy. There's a time that we have to face the unhappy moments. Thank God that with time I was able to overcome this difficult period.
"I've also had some funny, embarrassing moments, like the time back in high school when I joined a small group of teenage girls and we decided to wear the same outfits and have our hair pulled up with a special ribbon. Unfortunately, on that day I woke up late and I was in a hurry tying my hair. When I got to class, everyone started laughing at me. I was confused, but then I found the reason: I had used a shoelace instead of the ribbon to tie my hair up!
"My passion for accessories lives on so I decided make a name for myself in jewelry-making. I had some materials left over from the wedding accessories I used to make, and I found other suppliers of beautiful beads. This was a good decision and now there are 10 people working with me – I am so happy now! I love the challenge of finding affordable materials and I enjoy creating new designs, my favorites are free-form gemstones.
"I am the mother of three children, and I will not ask them to follow my footsteps. I will let them choose their own path. They will see their parents, how much we care and love them. That's the most important thing.
"I join Novica with the hope that someday my jewelry will be known to all over the world, that people will like my collections and that my name will be known by many."
